Morning Glory Romance!

Thank you so much Between Naps On The Porch, for hosting Tablescape Thursday!

Summer is down to it's last days, but the sun is warm and the flowers are still in their glory. I decided to "take it outside" one last time. I looked around my yard for a place to set a romantic table for two (I'm a newlywed!) and the choice was easy. Mr. Wonderful planted morning glories very late in the season. He was very confident that they had plenty of time to grow high enough to cover our fence. I think you'll see that he was right (he's also Mr. Right!)

Some say red is the color of romance. I think it's blue.

I bought this pitcher years ago at Goodwill. I just love it!

All these dishes came from GW or ARC. This is my good set of flatware.

I think I ordered these glasses from Princess House years ago. Is that company still around?

Found this little birdcage with candle at Hobby Lobby. It's so sweet.

I just attached these dragonflies to ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed my Morning Glory Romance!

Please be sure to check out my sister's tablescape at Robin Flies South...

And, if you are a spontaneous woman, I want to hear from you in my humor blog, Elaine's Wonderful World!

What a pretty table, and I agree, blue is very romantic. I love your "jumble of glory" in the pitcher. Thanks for sharing!

I love your blue and white table. The morning glories are beautiful. I just visited your sister. We both did apple tables this week! Thanks for visiting Take Six.

Blue & white IS romantic! I love the table you've put together in that sweet setting. I feel like a newlywed, too, even though we have 20+ years under our belts. (Along with all that belly fat that has built up over the last 20 years!) :-) I DO remember Princess House! I bought some stuff from them for my first home when I was married to my first husband. ;-) Kept the stuff, dumped the husband. You got some great deals from GW!!!

Very romantic setting. How nice your husband gets involved and plants things at your home. I loved the charger and white plate and the etching on the goblets. I've never planted MG vines, so you have inspired me to plant them!

This is absolutely beautiful! I love morning glories. I love the mix of dishes you used with this setting as well. You are right some of the best settings come from a great mix. I especially love the smallest floral plates. They look fantastic with tablecloth! Great setting!
