A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to assist a fellow stager with a home which was at one time President Ford's Vail vacation home. I thought you might like to see inside this special home. Here are some before and afters from the staging:
This was Betty's room. It just felt special. I spent a lot of time staging this one.
This is the master bedroom. It led out to a balcony in the front of the home.
There were seven other bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Eleven bathrooms in the home. We did a lot of towel folding!
Here are some random photos of the house.
The home had 10,000 square feet, wine cellar, theater room, indoor pool in a separate building in the back, an elevator, living quarters for the Secret Service, two kitchens, and my favorite--three washing machines and three dryers!!!
I hope you enjoyed this little peek! From what I understand, the home didn't sell (it had a $15 million dollar price tag!), and they are renting it out by the week. I also heard that Justin Timberlake was one of the renters!

Oh, I remember when you did this! How exciting! I guess other jobs were a little dull after this one. What a great house!
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. Btw, I'm admiring all the creativity you have in your blog. May I invite you to join us at the Creative Bloggers' Party & Hop? Hope to see you there at the party :)
What a great house...and the furnishings are quite fabulous as well!
How much fun was that! I hope you will add your lovely metamorphosis to my Fall in Love linky party on Wednesday.
Until then, stop by and see the under $20 makeover I gave an ugly brass light fixture.
Happy Monday!
I'm so glad you stopped by my blog, because it brought me to yours and this post in particular. I looked at your staging carefully, because our former house had a great room very similar to this one (but not 10,000 sf and 11 bedrooms!!), and it was a real challenge to get started with the decorating. We loved that house--it felt like a lodge or vacation home--so it was great to see it's BIG sister! Thanks!
Hi Elaine,
I am visiting from Susan's, I am your neighbor on the right..Home is Where the Heart is...
I am so happy I found your blog..I have enjoyed reading your post very much!. What a grand home full of history and what a treat for you to have spent time staging this beautiful home! I love the rug in Betty's room, I have always been attracted to floral carpet. I also love the buffet table with the large mirror sitting on it, very pretty and of course the USA seal is just so prestigious and regal.
I have become your newest follower..
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
