Calm Seas Ahead!

I love every shade of blue, from sky blue to navy. The inspiration for this week's tablescape is a set of aqua goblets. As I was putting it together, I decided that this shade of blue is one of my favorites! I've always said that if Colorado had an ocean, it would be the most perfect place on earth.

Hope you enjoy!

When I bought these glasses at a flea market, I had nothing to go with them. But, at $5 for four of them, it was just too good a deal to pass up!

My sister gave me the chargers for Christmas (thanks, Robin!) and the small plates came from TJ Maxx. The square bowls came from Big Lots.

With each tablescape I try to find something for the wall which will complement it. The best I could do was this metal piece with it's verdigris finish. It has a nautical look, doesn't it?

I did buy the fabric for these napkins with this tablescape in mind. It allowed me to use green as an accent color.

I bought these mercury glass candles at a thrift store for $1 each. I bought three gold and three silver. For this table, I placed two of them on top of silver candlesticks for some extra height. Part of the fun of these tablescapes is that you can do whatever you want!

I've been asked what these placemats from Z Galleries are made of. They are woven from a metallic vinyl. I just love them. So does my cat, Eddie, who tried to pull one out from under my stack of dishes!

Thank you for stopping by!

This just may be one of my most favorite tablescapes EVER! (I'm a klutz at creating them, but I sure can SPOT 'em!) You have used one of my favorite shades of my favorite colors. Very, very beautiful...

Oh My Goodness! Am i glad I discovered you. I RARELY comment although I just love to drool over beautiful tablescapes. Have you been tablescaping long? Everything about this table is exquisite... from the table surface (love the dark, rich wood top) to the centerpiece. Love that you found a fabric to inspire your color combination and made the napkins yourself. They with those beautiful napkin rings are the crowning touch. I would love to find me some of those metallic mats and your sister's gift of those chargers is just perfect. I've never seen anything like them and to be honest if I had I'm not sure I would have seen their potential. Gorgeous. Amazing how an unexpected find (your goblets) can turn out. Thank you for sharing this beautiful setting with us. I'm mostly a lurker and don't have a blog but I sure enjoy Thursdays. I'm going back now to explore your site... being a Colorado girl myself growing up, I'm looking forward to it.

I knew you would do something special with those chargers and you sure did! I'm so obsessed with finding aqua glasses like that! Great buy! I like what you did with the candles and holders too. Mom loved this color too. Remember when she decorated for Christmas with it? She was so ahead of her time!

I'm not sure what to comment on first as the complete t'scape is breathtaking as is each individual element! First off, the colour(s) are stunning and coordinated wonderfully, pulling just the right amount of each throughout. The aqua against the wall colour is spectacular too.(the metal wall art DOES look nautical as do your napkin rings!) Fantastic dishes, chargers, flatware and REALLY...$5 for those glasses! A steal! Your floral centerpiece is charming and again, the colour works so well with everything else. Love the pics with the candles lit, so dreamy. I am going back to look it all over again....and pretend I'm a dinner guest!
