Dinner On Ice!

I would love to be doing a spring tablescape, but it's hard to get away from winter. As I write this, I don't know if the groundhog saw his shadow, but living in Colorado, we always see six more weeks of winter. At the least!

So, I decided to create an ice-scape this week.

You may recognize the tree I used here.
I removed the leaves, and hung glass icicles.

All of the dishes came from Goodwill!

My tablescape started to change as the sun was going down.

At the risk of melting my whole tablescape, I lit the candles.

Ice can certainly take many forms. A few years ago,
I took this photo of our dining room window.

I think Mother Nature is quite the artist!

I hope you enjoyed my tablescape!

I will be joining Tablescape Thursday
at Between Naps On The Porch.

Table Top Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life.

Centerpiece Wednesday at The Style Sisters.

Seasonal Sunday at The Tablescaper.

Be sure to check out my sister's blog at Robin Flies South...

Terrific! I love the icy look and your candlelit pics are fabulous! Those "placemats" are the perfect backdrop to the lovely dishes. Here in B.C. Canada we too get at least 6 more weeks of winter shadow or no shadow!

Love this tablescape. It is a challenge to get one that is so wintery and not Christmasy. Well done. I love the use of branches in tablescapes and have been blogging extensively about branches in decor in general. Check out Ashbee Design this week for branch ideas!

What are the placemats made of? They are very unusual. Like them a lot!

Incredibly beautiful photos! Each element of your table is exquisite. I used to live in Colorado, and the winters can be so beautiful but really long, at least to this Southern girl.

Oh, geez Elaine...this is so pretty!!! And you got all the dishes at Goodwill????!?!?! You rascal, you!!! Way to go! This is all so pretty, and I love the "icy" effect of the white and silver and greyish tones. The little "tree" is the perfect accent! I heard this evening that Denver is digging out of a foot of snow and that another foot or so is on the way. Are you catching any of that? If so, PLEASE be careful!!!!!!!!!! Take care!
