True Confessions!

I have a confession to make. I am not a fan of Valentine's Day. On top of that, I am not a fan of red. But, for some reason, I keep creating red tablescapes! Anyway, I told myself that if I could come up with a Valentines' Day tablescape without spending more than $10, I would do it. (I am always giving myself rules!)

Here is the result.

Table for two? Right this way...

Wait...what is this?

Oh Sweetheart, you shouldn't have!

I wonder what's in his heart. Love, of course.

OK, I have one more confession. I spent $12. The tablecloth came from Ross ($9), and I bought the two ceramic hearts and a package of paper hearts from Dollar Tree ($3). I already had everything else, including the beautiful ring my husband gave me five years ago. I hope you enjoyed my Valentine's Day tablescape! Now, NO MORE RED!

At least until the 4th of July!

I will be joining Tablescape Thursday
at Between Naps On The Porch, and
Table Top Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life!

The tablecloth is just perfect! I like the use of black napkins -- they keep the table from being too "sweet," I think!

I'm not a big, big fan of Valentine's Day, either, so it used to pain me to have to come up with something every year. My husband's work schedule is such now that I don't have to worry about it! Hooray!!! You did a great job on your self-imposed budget, even if red isn't your favorite! Very nice!!!

I'm back from the beach and ready to view some tables! This is so sweet, love the border on the plates and I agree with another commenter about the black napkins, perfect touch! I admire you having a budget even if you didn't quite keep to it!

Elaine, I am impressed with only spending $12. I also went to the Dollar Tree and bought those same trinket boxes in the middle of your plates. I spent very little on my Valentine tablescape but haven't posted it yet but will soon. I am your newest follower. Check out my header and you can see the trinket boxes.

What a great challenge to give yourself! I also went to Dollar Tree and purchased the heart boxes. I placed them in my Valentine's stash for this year or next. I love the pierced plates! You did an excellent job with the $10 budget and the tablecloth is lovely. Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Tablescaping! Pam
