Summer Rerun

I am sad to say that my mother-in-law has passed away. She had been living with Alzheimer’s for over two years, so we knew the day would come. I need to spend some time with Mr. Wonderful’s family right now, so I thought I would post a quick “summer rerun”.

Morning Glory Romance was the second tablescape I ever posted. I like to think my tablescaping and photography skills have improved since this one, but I remember how much fun I had, and that’s what it’s all about, right?

I hope you enjoy!

I looked around my yard for a place to set a romantic table for two (I'm a newlywed!) and the choice was easy. Mr. Wonderful planted morning glories very late in the season. He was very confident that they had plenty of time to grow high enough to cover our fence. I think you'll see that he was right--he's also Mr. Right!

Some say red is the color of romance. I think it's blue.

I bought this pitcher years ago at Goodwill. I just love it!

All these dishes came from GW or ARC. This is my good set of flatware.

I think I ordered these glasses from Princess House years ago.

Found this little birdcage with candle at Hobby Lobby. I think it's so sweet.

I just attached these dragonflies to ribbon.

Thank you for visiting my Morning Glory Romance!

So sorry about the loss of your mother in law.. I lost mine two weeks ago. She had dementia, pretty severe at the end, but it was a couple of broken hips that finally got her. We rest assured that she is with her maker and at peace. I pray for peace for your family.

A beautiful table in a romantic spot.. love the blue and white.. xo marlis

My condolences for your loss; those of us who are blessed with nice mothers-in-law feel the loss deeply. This lovely table struck me as somehow appropriate for the "occasion," just having lost your mother-in-law. It's soft, and peaceful, and blue, which is so serene. Lovely. ~Zuni

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be
actually something that I think I would never
understand. It seems too complex and very broad
for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!!!!
