Crazy for Purple!

If I won a five minute shopping spree at Michael's, I would head right to the floral department and fill my arms with purple flowers. From the tiniest violet to the largest hydrangeas, I LOVE purple flowers. So, I am just "plum" happy to present this week's tablescape!

I hope you enjoy!

This tablescape started with the fabric. Intending to use it for napkins, I made a last minute decision to make placemats instead!

The obligatory bird.

The white on white dishes allow the purple to steal the scene!

Each place setting gets it's own blossom!

Thanks for visiting!

But, before you go, I have an announcement!

My sister and I will be doing another Sister Act! This time we will be using the same animal print placemats. If you didn't catch Sister Act I, you can see mine here:

To see my sister's, you will have to visit her blog! Be sure to come back for a visit May 3rd to see how two sisters create tablescapes around the same item!

I will be joining:

Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch

Let's Dish at Cuisine Kathleen

Centerpiece Wednesday at The Style Sisters

What's It Wednesday at Ivy & Elephants

Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper

Be sure to visit my sister's blog at Robin Flies South...

Your table is absolutely beautiful, and that fabric is spectacular.

Another thing I love about your photos is the way that the purple flowers look against your DR walls. Gorgeous.

If you won that contest, I'd be right behind you throwing vases into the basket for all the flowers! Your choice here, though, could not be beaten. Very pretty! I love the whole table! The dishes are just gorgeous...I love just about anything with those cool reticulated edges!!! You did a fabulous job!

So much to like in this one! The fabric is great. Why can't they just make nicer inexpensive place mats? The chargers are nice contrast with the white dishes. Nice napkins rings and I recognize that picture (Carmel!).

Hi Elaine,
This is so pretty! I love purple too, and I am crazy about hydrangeas, I have about 35 bushes, half of them I rock rooted to make new bushes!
Love the fabric, so pretty. Everything about this table is lovely! Thank the good earth for providing such beautiful colors.
Thanks so much for linking to Let's Dish!

This is all so beautiful. We share the same shade of DR walls and I would have never thought to use purple. I am loving that tea-pot you use for a vase and your china is gorgeous. Your table would surely make me feel very welcome. Deb=^..^=x6

Your fabric is so pretty. I love lilacs, but mine have not yet bloomed. Several bushes were damaged this winter! I'm looking forward to your sister act tables! Linda

Very, very, pretty. I love your placemats. Lilacs were my mom's favorite flower. The way you feel about purple flowers is the way I feel about blue flowers.

Ooooooh! I just love the white with the purple. The purple is so rich and gorgeous. The white really lets it shine and keeps it from being too much. I am outside right now sitting next to some purple flowers that would be perfect with this table. :) I love your placemats and you make me wish I could sew.

I just came from Robin's blog. Tablescaping talent must run in the family cause your tables both look so pretty. I love your pitcher and love all the purples. The dish layer looks fantastic. How fun for both of you to have the same likes. You should invite the others to do an jungle inspired tablescape on the same day. I for one would love to join in...Christine
