A Simple Thanks...

Thanksgiving is going to be a quiet affair for two this year. But, that doesn't mean we won't be in the kitchen all day cooking. We will prepare a feast, as always. Mr. Wonderful cooks the turkey, the sweet potatoes, and the green bean casserole. I do the rest.

The inspiration for my table is a throw I purchased (still in the unopened packaging) from Goodwill. I knew it would make a beautiful tablecloth. I've been wanting to do all white dishes, and I thought this was the perfect time.

I wanted to keep the accent colors soft and muted.

I bought these glittery fall picks at Michael's.

All of these dishes came from Goodwill!

My little polka dot pitcher just had to make another appearance. You can also see it here.

This table was made for candlelight.

These mercury glass votives also came from Michael's.

The water glasses are Waterford and the wine glasses are from Ross.

Just a simple centerpiece--a pumpkin on gold and silver garland.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

I will be joining Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday!

All the sparkling elements are so beautiful and photogenic. I love the picture with all the votives and the effect they have on the pumpkin garland. I'm glad your Waterford doesn't mind sharing the spotlight with the Ross glasses. Ha! Overall such an elegant yet cozy table for 2! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mr. Wonderful (and the furry guys too!)

Love it! The throw is a perfect backdrop for those pretty white dishes and fall picks! It looks very elegant!
I admire you doing all that work for 2! But at least you will have left overs for a few days.
I feel so full now I hope I don't eat for days! Somehow come morning I will feel differently!

You and I went for the same "sparkly" collection at Michael's. I used the garland for my table. The throw was a beautiful inspiration...it created a beautiful, serene underpinning for your gorgeous design. Thank you for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

No kidding this table was made for candlelight!!!!! Wow! I love mercury glass and crystal and bling....so this is my kinda table! GREAT throw! It's perfect for the table!!! I'm glad to see you guys didn't skimp even though it would be just the 2 of you. Thanksgiving is about love and togetherness...even if it's just 2 people together and loving each other. I'm also touched that you shared in the cooking responsibilities. Makes the day that much more meaningful. Way to go!!!
