My Dream Dish Room!

When we first looked at the house we wound up buying, we came across a small room in the finished basement. It was just 8' x 10' with some odd cut-outs and a door giving access to the furnace and water heater. It was empty except for a large mirror. We have no idea how the sellers used it. Mr. Wonderful looked at me. "What are you going to do with this room?"

Behold.....the Dish Room!

I'd like to tell you that everything fit in this one room, and I probably could have done it. But, it was important to me that I could move around comfortably. The solution was right across the hall!

There was plenty of room under the stairs for placemats, chargers, silk flowers, etc. AND all my Christmas decorations!

Thank you for visiting!

What wonderful storage! It's always best to have things out in the open so you can see what you have.

You'll have to repost this in June when I do my "Where do you keep it all?" party in June.

What a wonderful bonus to your home. You are so organized. I would love to have a room for all my tablescaping stuff instead of here, there and everywhere!

I'm in love! Oh, what I'd give to have rooms like these and you're so fortunate! The organization these rooms bring to your life is great, too. Kathe hit the nail on the head!! Enjoy and thanks for sharing!!

So terrific!!! Looks wonderfully organized and pretty in its contents! I have a room like this but sadly, it is not big enough - maybe I have too much stuff...no that can't be it!!

Oh, I'm speechless. I want one too. I love that your candles are lined up like soldiers. Those two area must make your tablescaping so much easier.

Graciousness...

I am just deadly envious of your dishroom! Drool---drool from here. While I hardly have place to keep my dishes around my Box, LoL*

Happy weekend.

All I can say is "WOW!" This is a tablescaper's dream! It must make the hobby so much easier than having to grope through dish and placemat stacks to find what you want and then re-stack everything! I'm green with envy!
